The RMI Bodyshop aims to support all repair related business, regardless of the type and size. We have a nationwide network of more than 1500 repairers, all of which work to strictly policed quality standards and are regularly monitored to ensure that the RMI Bodyshop standards are constantly and consistently maintained.


The RMI Bodyshop understands the repair market and the needs and concerns of your business. We realise that you’re in business to make a profit and we offer our members a range of services to help achieve this. Some of these services and benefits are listed below.

  • Technical: The RMI Bodyshop now benefit from same day delivery on technical data required in order to carry out repairs, this enables the repairer to complete work in progress within a specific time and also ensure the customer’s vehicle is repaired in accordance with manufacture standards.
  • Debt Recovery: The RMI Bodyshop members can be confident in knowing that if they are struggling to retrieve payments from customers etc that we have a Debt Recovery Service that will chase the debt on their behalf for a fixed fee. If they cannot retrieve the debt, no fee will be imposed on the member. This service ultimately saves the member time in trying to chase the money and also enables them to get on with the job in hand.
  • Regional Manager: The RMI Bodyshop employs an in house team of industry qualified and trained area managers, this team is your face to face contact with the RMI Bodyshop and they are there to work closely with you, to help deliver our services to you and also ensure you receive the support from the RMI Bodyshop to help your business perform.
  • Legal: The RMI Bodyshop is able to provide legal guidance to members and when necessary, involve and consult solicitors. This service will enable you to gain basic information that will help you decide your next course of action, this way you can start to understand the options before you start incurring legal costs and be sure that you are following current legal practices.
  • Suppliers: The RMI Bodyshop members benefit from the buying power that exist within our organisation, preferential rates on paint, equipment, tools, sundries etc can ultimately save the member both money and time if they contact the RMI Bodyshop and obtain the approved supplier list.
  • Kitemark: The RMI Bodyshop have been awarded Associate Consultant Partner (ACP) status by BSI for the Thatcham BSI Kitemark programme, all our field team are fully trained in the audit and implementation of PAS125 standard, this ensures that you are using an accredited partner to BSI, ensuring consistency throughout. Not only is it the attention and help you get from the RMI Bodyshop whilst working through PAS125 that separates the RMI Bodyshop from the rest but it is the continual help and assistance you receive after. Through achieving PAS125 you ultimately future proof your business for years to come.
  • Health & Safety: The RMI Bodyshop’s Health and Safety Services exist to ensure all of its members fully comply with the many complex legislative demands placed upon modern repair businesses. An in house team of qualified and experienced Health and Safety professionals provides this service. Failure to comply with current legislation can place your staff at risk and sometimes lead to substantial fines or even closure of your business. The RMI Bodyshop staff can ultimately ensure this is in place, up to date, compliant and monitored year on year, saving you time and money and effort.
  • Employment Law Advice: The RMI Bodyshop provides you with an easy to access web based HR toolkit which allows you to access 24/7 and download HR templates, these include all the documents you need from interview questions, medical questionnaires through to grievance policies. In addition to this the HR toolkit provides you with a helpline facility which gives you unlimited access to a team of qualified HR professionals.
  • Approved Membership will provide repairers with the RMI Bodyshop branding through signage and certificates, member pack, dedicated regional manager support, plus unlimited access to a range of business support services including our technical helpline, general legal and employment law advice, together with preferential rates and benefits offered through the RMI Bodyshop’s approved supplier partners. This fully comprehensive package is available for £495 (+ VAT) per year.
