The National Franchised Dealers Association (NFDA) is urging consumers to use one of its members when buying a used car.

All NFDA members’ sign up to used car standards that ensure vehicles sold by them are in good condition. Standards ensure vehicles are mechanically checked, have a full service history - including ownership, mileage and service, and staff are professionally trained to put the consumer first.

Sue Robinson, NFDA Director comments, “By using a member of the NFDA, consumers can buy with confidence, and will have the reassurance that if anything does go wrong, dealers will have a complaints procedure to ensure the issue is resolved quickly and effectively.

“NFDA members have access to the National Conciliation Service (NCS) - a certified, independent, automotive ADR provider that offers alternative dispute resolution services to businesses and customers when disputes cannot be resolved through a business’ internal processes.”
