“We are delighted to see that leading apprenticeship provider Remit Training is celebrating after receiving an outstanding grade 1 in leadership and management, and an overall grade 2 following a recent inspection from Ofsted”, commented Alec Murray, Chairman of the Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI).

Remit, a joint venture subsidiary of the RMI, provides government funded apprenticeships in workforce development training within the automotive sector, and has suitably developed an enhanced apprenticeship model which is designed to save employers time and money when recruiting an apprentice.

Alec Murray continued, “Over the last 12 months, we have seen a significant development from Remit who now supports over 3,000 apprentices typically aged between 16 and 18 years old with their career development. This latest achievement marks the start of an encouraging year ahead for both the training provider and prospective apprentices.”

Remit Managing Director Sue Pittock commented, “We are extremely pleased to have received such a positive report. These judgments represent the best Ofsted report in Remit’s history and we are all very proud of the result and team effort demonstrated during the inspection.”

Remit’s Apprenticeship programmes are predominantly funded by the Government through the Skills Funding Agency, Skills Development Scotland and the Welsh Assembly Government.
