NAMA ANNOUNCES TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMITTEE
NAMA 04/02/2025
Paul Hill, spokesman for the National Association of Motor Auctions (NAMA) said “We have formed the Training and Education committee to manage and steer the new and exciting initiatives that our members are currently working on and to provide the training and education that will be required to ensure their success. As our customers’ needs continually change, so do the solutions that our members provide. As an association we are extremely proud of the proactive way our members work together to promote best practice across our industry and in turn the impact this has on the motor industry in general.”
NAMA is delighted to announce that the start of 2025 sees the launch of its all-new Training and Education Committee. One of the associations recent and most recognised achievements is that of the NAMA used vehicle grading scheme, now the UK’s standard that is used across the motor industry by sellers and buyers alike. The success of this scheme is underpinned by the continual training, education and stringent audit processes that NAMA have adopted. Over 1000 vehicle appraisers throughout the UK hold the NAMA vehicle appraiser qualification and the scheme itself received the coveted Kings Award for Enterprise in 2023.
NAMA’s Training and Education Committee will be chaired by Andrew Walker, CEO of The Fleet Auction Group. He will be joined initially by an international team including Penny Wanna, President of The Auction Academy in the USA, Danny McNelis, Nextgear Capital and joint chair of The National Auto Auction Association of the USA and Kellie Smith, Senior Remarketing Manager – Enterprise Mobility.
Paul Hill concluded “having these individuals head up the committee brings a diverse range of perspectives and skillsets that will ensure that our association and our members continue to spearhead innovation and professionalism throughout the entire motor industry”.
