NAMA 21/05/2025

“Last Saturday, NAMA hosted its 2025 Annual General Meeting in Portugal. The event marked the launch of several key initiatives, including the introduction of the Licenced Auctioneer Scheme and the unveiling of NAMA’s new branding” said Paul Hill, Spokesperson for the National Association of Motor Auctions (NAMA).

The AGM spotlighted a series of significant initiatives shaping the remarketing sector:

  • Focus on Training and Education: NAMA’s Training and Education Committee shared its plans to expand professional development and upskilling opportunities, ensuring the sector continues to attract and retain top talent.

  • Launch of the Licenced Auctioneer Scheme: A new certification scheme recognising professionalism, ethical standards and auctioneering expertise was officially launched, strengthening trust and consistency across the industry.

  • Continued roll out of NAMA’s LCV Grading Scheme Rollout: The continued rollout of the Light Commercial Vehicle grading scheme is set to bring greater clarity and confidence to buyers and sellers alike.

  • Market Discussion and Overview from CAP HPI: Delegates were provided with expert analysis and forward-looking market trends, giving members valuable insights to help navigate a changing economic and automotive landscape.

Paul Hill continued “Unveiling our new branding at this year’s AGM in Portugal is a proud moment for NAMA and a clear signal of our ambitions for the future but the event was about much more than a new look - it was about driving progress across the industry.

“NAMA’s renewed focus on training and education, the launch of the Licenced Auctioneer Scheme, and the continued rollout of the LCV Grading Scheme, demonstrates its commitment to supporting a modern, professional and trusted remarketing sector. These initiatives show how NAMA is delivering real value for members and helping shape the future of our industry.”
