NFDA welcomes Brexit talks progress

NFDA 15/12/2017

Donald Tusk, European Council President, has confirmed that EU leaders have agreed to move Brexit talks on to the second phase. The EU has also published its guidelines for phase two of the negotiations. These negotiations will focus on future economic co-operation and the transitional arrangement.

Sue Robinson, Director of the National Franchised Dealers Associations (NFDA), said, “It is extremely positive to see that the EU has now published its guidelines for the second phase of Brexit negotiations and agreed to a two-year transition period. We are hopeful that this will provide more certainty to businesses and consumers.

“NFDA is looking forward to seeing how negotiations unfold within this timeframe and we will continue to engage with Ministers, Parliamentarians and Officials at both a national and EU level”.
