NBRA statement on Brexit vote

NBRA 13/03/2019

"The NBRA's recent strategy meeting which was attended by 17 leading industry figures, identified the dire consequences a no-deal Brexit would potentially have for the Vehicle Body Repair industry and its 35,000 employees.

"Following tonight’s rejection of Theresa May’s deal, the possibility of a no-deal has increased significantly, along with the risk of prolonged vehicle parts import delays which could see countless repairers running out of cash and being forced to close their businesses in a matter of weeks.

"The NBRA is calling on Government to guarantee that imports will be unaffected, and for the wider claims industry to seriously consider some of the mitigating solutions collaboratively generated at the NBRA Brexit Summit."

Chris Weeks, Director of the National Body Repair Association (NBRA)
